Jim has been turning for many years and is a member of the Crossborder Chapter of the Irish Woodturners Guild (IWG).  He is recognized for his technical demonstrations (such as turning spalted beech scoops or teaching sharpening masterclasses) and creating highly complex geometric forms, such as multi-faceted spheres based on the 13 Archimedean solids
